New machines come with manufacturer documentation and a defined delivery time. Refurbished machines can reduce capital cost and lead time, but the buyer should see the machine history and condition before purchase.
Checklist before buying a used steel processing machine
Make, model and year; rated width, thickness and coil weight; line speed; drive and control system type and spare-parts availability; condition of rolls, knives, bearings and gearboxes; whether you can see it running; available drawings and manuals; what is included (decoiler, recoiler, tooling); transport, dismantling and re-erection plan; and who commissions it.
